Moscow (Reuters)-A tanker carrying Russia nearly 800 tons of fuel oil stranded in the sea of Japan after suffering damage to the engine.
"The tanker Marine Alliance, which sailed to the port of Nakhodka (Russia Pacific) was unable to sail again because its main engine damage," the Ministry said in a statement, Emergency Monday, without explaining the weather conditions at the scene.
Twenty tanker crew was not injured in the incident.
The ship will be pulled by the other Russia, Georgiy Froier, which sailed to the scene, the statement said.
RIA Novosti reported Marine Alliance has experienced engine failure since February 7 in Japan Sea during bad weather.
