Police Standoff with an armed California man

Oakland - Police is in a standoff with an armed suspect disguised as a movie character which is hidden within a store for Office Depot in Northern California.

Police say the Tribune in Oakland that four people had been hostage late Friday, but were released unharmed.

Oakland police dispatch said Office Associated Press early Saturday that the deadlock was still underway, but he refused to say anything about the hostages.

The Office said many officers were on the scene and there have been no injuries.

Police say they first responded shortly before 22 Friday to check on a report that the Emeryville store was left open and discovered the presence of the suspect.

Streets in the area have closed parking lots around the cluster of stores at the Emeryville-Oakland border.

The Tribune, said police described the suspect as wearing a mask of the film "V for Vendetta" action and armed with a pistol.
