Marine Medic suspected of making bomb aimed at high school surrenders to authorities

Navy Medic suspected of writing a bomb threat forced an evacuation of high school in California on Wednesday handed over to the authorities, Master Sergeant Mark Oliva, a Camp Pendleton spokesman confirmed to Fox News.

The suspect, Daniel P. Morgan, 22, was stationed at nearby Camp Pendleton, but he was considered AWOL after does to work Wednesday morning. The authorities immediately searched his home located off of the base and say, they discovered the writings which indicate that he may have placed some explosive devices in or around San Clemente high school, the target referred.

At 08: 45 local time autour the alleged bomb threat was discovered by Corps of the marines at Camp Pendleton, the base said in a statement. The camp said that he is working with the authorities on the investigation.

No charges against Morgan were filed, again that the authorities pursue the investigation.

While the authorities have found no explosives on an initial scan of the school, and nothing was stolen from Camp Pendleton, they said they take seriously the threats.

Around noon on Wednesday, Jim Armorino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff Department said that the campus is secure. Students have since been removed to return home.

"It could have access to explosive devices," Amormino said Fox News.

"We all available sniffer dogs here to Research County bomb parts", he said.

All of the student body was evacuated to the stage after it has been determined safe. The school has 3 200 students. The military base is a couple of miles from the high school.

San Clemente High School Principal George Duarte issued a statement Wednesday welcoming the efforts of the people involved so that students and parents that the school would be in session Thursday, after the clear all on the campus by application of the Act.

It was not known if Morgan had any prior relationship with high school.
