Beijing warn Manila regarding the South China Sea

Beijing (Reuters)-the Chinese Government warned again not to complicate the issue in the Philippines in the South China Sea, while asking the two countries dispute in that region to the International Court of justice.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei of China in Beijing, Tuesday, asserts, China has always been committed to resolving the dispute in the South China Sea through bilateral dialogue with each country who have disputes with China in the area.

"China also remains committed to maintaining the stability of the region and regional cooperation," he said, adding.

Hong Lei said a settlement through dialogue bilaterally with countries that dispute is one of the agreements reached between China and ASEAN in accordance with the agreed behaviour to defuse tension in the South China Sea.

He warned the Philippines not to complicate the situation in the South China Sea and returning calls to resolve the dispute between the two countries through bilateral dialogue.

The dispute between the Philippines and China in the South China Sea had heated up after the two countries clashed briefly patrol last year. In addition to the Philippines, China is also in dispute with Viet Nam, Malaysia, and Brunei in the South China Sea.

The Philippines carrying case dispute in the South China Sea based on the rules contained in the United Nations Conventions on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). UNCLOS is a Convention in the UNITED NATIONS, one of which set up the territorial waters of countries that became members.

According to the Philippines, the Chinese claims in the South China Sea is contrary to the rules contained in UNCLOS. The Philippines has asked the International Court of Justice to declare the claim that China doesn't match the rule. The Philippines estimated the International Court takes about three to four years before issuing its decision.
