Man arrested for threats of terror on Los Angeles Bus

LOS ANGELES - a report of a suspicious rucksack which sent a team of explosives at Los Angeles bus finished with a man accused of making terrorist threats and possessing a hoax device.

Kimberly Unland of the Sheriff of the County of Los Angeles said authorities received a call on the Backpack on a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in the section of the city koreatown shortly after 18 Saturday.

She said a man was arrested and fire explosives and criminal detectives responded to the scene. The bus was evacuated and the area was contained.

Authorities said around midnight as investigators determined the Backpack was in fact a small suitcase and was not an explosive device.

However, the detectives arrested Parades Eugenio 62 years on charges of making terrorist threats and possessing a hoax device.

No other details were immediately available.
