Parchin is not and was never used for nuclear activity.Tehran (Reuters)-the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Wednesday (6/3), said International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should submit the document contains legitimate reasons for a visit to the Parchin military site for consideration by Iran.
"Parchin is not and cannot ever be used for nuclear activities," said the head of the AEOI Fereidoon Abbasi told Iran's official news agency, IRNA.
It adds in that case, Iran's military officials will be invited to consult to make a final decision.
Parchin site has become the main concern of the IAEA since November 2011. Iran had previously refused to give access to that location unless agreement on "structured approach" has been achieved.
The deal allows IAEA to inspect the activities of Iran and nuclear too. Iran's Government also stated, "the IAEA should close Iran's nuclear file".
The Director General of the IAEA, Yukiya Amano, Monday, suggests the structured approach should not be an excuse for Iran to block access to Parchin, and demanded full access to that location.
However, Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA Ali-Asghar Soltanieh, Wednesday, said the request presented by the Director General of IAEA for inspection of the Parchin site prior to the signing of the deal could not be justified and only politicized the issue, IRNA said, as quoted by Xinhua.
