3,000 Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike Israel

Jerusalem (Reuters)-around 3,000 Palestinians are languishing in prison hunger strike a day Israel on Sunday to protest the death of a colleague.

"Around 3,000 prisoners announced that they will refuse to eat," said Agency spokesman Kepenjaraan Israel Sivan Wizman told AFP. "Just one day" don't eat three meals. "

Arafat Jaradat, 30 years old, the father of two children from the village of Sair near Al Khalil (Hebron) in the southern part of the West Bank, died suddenly Saturday in one Israel prison. Prison authorities called the cause of his death was heart disease.

The protestors in his home village and in some parts of the town of Al Khalil Sunday threw boulders to Israel security forces who responded by firing tear gas and shock grenades, witnesses said. There was no immediate report on casualties.

The Palestinian Prisoners Association said the number of prisoners who did hunger strike openly rose from four to 11 people.

Jaradat's death occurred a day after nearly 100 Palestinians injured in clashes with Israel's security forces in demonstrations in the West Bank demanding the liberation of the strikers.

A statement from the Office of Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyed Saturday said he "expressed great sadness and was appalled at the death of Arafat in prison Israel invaders Jaradat".

The Hamas rulers of The Gsza says that prisoners died because of "inhumane conditions in Israel prisons."

Israel's domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet said Jaradat ditahanan due to his involvement in the incident of November 2012 stoning which injure a soldier Israel.

"After lunch, when he beristrahat in Megindo prison, Arafat Jaradat was sick. The doctors called to mengobat him but were unable to save his life, "he added. Police are investigating the death of Israel now Jaradat.
