The ship sank in the Philippines, Myanmar 14 missing persons

Manila (Reuters)-a Myanmar Vessel heading China sank in the sea near the town of Bolinao in Northern Pangasinan province, Philippines, killing a crew of Malaysia while 14 people reported missing.

"Initial reports said the boat suffered damage engine, vacillating and ultimately sank," said a spokesman for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Armand Balilo.

PCG informed the accident of one China, which saved nine crew members of the ill-fated vessel, MV Arita Bauxite.

Of the nine people, two people were injured while the rest are in "good condition", said Balilo.

Balilo said the ship's China also reported that 14 members of the crew from Myanmar were lost.

He did not know exactly when the incident occurred, but allegedly happened on Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Chito Castro, Director of the Office of civil defense in the Ilocos region, coordinating with PCG still to monitor the accident.

Castro said, the victims were flown to the PCG facilities in the city of San Fernando in La Union, Sunday.

A medical team from the Health Ministry have been stationed to provide immediate medical care to the victims.
