Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he sees the president's week ending.

John Zogby on Week: 142

"American-born al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Aulaqi was not as well-known as Osama bin Laden, but his killing by a U.S. drone attack is another success for President Obama's policy of targeting terrorists. The attack brought criticism from civil libertarians, but further squashes GOP claims that Obama cannot be trusted on national security. The president continued to barnstorm for his jobs bill and keep up his attacks on Republicans. He is slowly winning back his party base, which is itself awakening through the growing Occupy Wall Street movement and its spread to other cities. Obama needs to harness that energy and hope its young marchers won't label him as just another enabler of Wall Street greed. Chris Christie and Sarah Palin ended their flirtation with a presidential run. So a pretty good week for the president, but until we see a real rise in his polling, he stays in the C range."

This week's grade: C

Last week's: C-
