WASHINGTON - A newsletter of information released by the US authorities Friday warned one of al-Qaeda potentially with a vehicle to stage an attack on the city of New York or Washington, D.C., some time around the 10th commemoration of September 11, 2001.
US officials are seeking a "handful of potential operators" and a smaller subset that perhaps understand citizens Americans or legal permanent residents, national security officials say Fox News.
The authorities who spoke the Wall Street Journal that three people are suspected in the plot. Two of the three are supposed to be citizens of the United States, while one is perhaps already in the country.
An improvised explosive device attached to a car would be similar to that used by Faisal Shahzad, who attempts to attack Times Square in 2010; such attacks can involve cooperatives carrying U.S. documentation.
The attacks "could be intended to cause public panic and confusion among first responders" and show that the terror group is still relevant after a year of public losses, the newsletter of bed.
Since February 2010, al-Qaeda was interested in conducting a large-scale attack and it is believed that the killing of Osama bin Laden, the readings of the bulletin and the removal of several figures of the group can contribute to an attack on or around the anniversary.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said that the police of New York will be taken additional precautions in response to the threat of terror, including increasing its patrol by a third party, set up vehicle checkpoints and working closely with the FBI to obtain any additional information.
In Washington, police work 12-hour shifts, and head of the Police Cathy Lanier said unattended cars parked in unusual places may towed.
The details provided to Fox News suggested that chatter had indicated that the possible suspects were attached to Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the successor to and Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda after U.S. seals out Osama bin Laden in the spring in Abbottabad, Pakistan. US forces found several elements in the ambitious plans suggesting compound of bin Laden for an attack to coincide with the anniversary of September 11. Authorities received a "General description" of two or three suspects possible but not necessarily have names, said a source.
The person who provided the intelligence is known to the American intelligence community and "has a track record," one source said.
The US authorities had been saying days that there is no known credible threats linked to the tenth of September 11 since the attacks. But when asked by reporters Thursday if it is still the case, Secretary of security inland Janet Napolitano appeared to hesitate.
