His show has been canceled and his marriage collapsed in 2009, but Kate Gosselin does not seem remorseful about his tumultuous last few years.
"I know I'm happy to be divorced and on my own," he says, addressing her former husband Jon Gosselin, 34, a fragment of an episode of Kate + 8, which airs Monday night at the TLC; final episode of the series will air September 12.
"I would not trade my marriage because I have incredible eight children would not change," Kate, 36, says in the episode Monday night. "But people are not changing and you thought you were and if they are not for you, go ahead. I have done."
She has no trouble seeing your ex move on too.
"I do not care if their girlfriends changed weekly, yearly, monthly," Kate says in the clip. "I do not think ... more power to him."
Laughing at the thought of having any "jealousy" about the current love life Jon, Kate says her interactions with him are very rare.
"If I have to deal with it with children, not [deal with it], which is good because it keeps the peace," he says. "I've always sent by email, call or text message, whatever - just children, best for children."
However, backing up what she told People in June, says his ex Kate has made at least the positive changes in their lives from when they separated.
"He is working now, so it definitely is distracted elsewhere, which is good," continues in the clip. "And that has kept her two weekends a month. And the kids home happy, and that's good."
